Hulsey Contracting Inc is currently seeking a dedicated Truck Driver & Laborer to join our team in Central Valley, CA. Position: Truck Driver & Laborer Location: Central Valley, CA
Responsibilities:
- Operate company-owned trucks to deliver construction materials to various job sites.
- Ensure safe and timely transportation of materials, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, taking care to secure them properly.
- Assist with on-site labor work, including but not limited to spraying protective coatings when driving duties are not required.
- Collaborate with the construction team to support project requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both within the truck and on the job sites.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on the truck to ensure its safety and reliability.
- Report any issues, delays, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in driving large trucks, preferably in a construction or similar setting.
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and overtime, as necessary to meet project deadlines (50+ hours a week).
- Physical strength and stamina to handle manual labor tasks such as loading and unloading materials.
- Familiarity with spraying protective coatings is a plus but not mandatory; we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Safety-conscious mindset, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
